The tax residency tracker for globally mobile families

In short

A tax residency tracker records which country you were in each day and turns that history into the day counts tax authorities actually use. TaxDin logs your midnights once, then applies the UK Statutory Residence Test, India's Section 6 tests and Singapore's 183-day rule automatically — so you always know where you stand before the thresholds sneak up on you.

Why day counting is harder than it looks

Every country measures the same calendar differently. The UK counts midnights against a 6 April – 5 April tax year, India counts days of presence against a 1 April financial year, and Singapore uses the calendar year. One trip can move three different day counts at once.

Spreadsheets work until they don't: a missed row, a mistyped date or a formula that silently stops at last year's boundary can change your residency answer without anyone noticing.

What TaxDin tracks for you

You log one thing — where you were at each midnight, one day or a whole date range at a time. TaxDin does the rest:

  • Per-country day counts by UK tax year or calendar year
  • The full UK sufficient-ties readout, including workday tracking
  • India's Section 6 residency readout — 182-day, 60-day, deemed residency and RNOR
  • A live Singapore 183-day threshold badge
  • Two people tracked side by side, with import from your existing spreadsheets
  • Accountant-ready Excel and CSV export

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to enter every day by hand?

No. You can log whole date ranges at once ("14–28 August: Singapore") and import years of history from Excel or Google Sheets in one go.

Which countries' rules does TaxDin apply automatically?

The UK Statutory Residence Test (including sufficient ties), India's Section 6 tests (including deemed residency and RNOR status) and Singapore's 183-day rule. Day counts for every other country are tracked too.

Can my accountant see my numbers?

Yes — you can invite an assistant or accountant with their own login, or export an accountant-ready Excel workbook at any time.
